About Nebular Festival
Our Story
Nebular Festival began in 2019 with a simple idea — to create a home in Malta for post-rock, stoner rock, and alternative music. The first edition welcomed UK math-rock giants Alpha Male Tea Party alongside local acts like Krishna, Lady Lizard, Eyes to Argus, and Shlamizard. That debut set the tone for everything that followed: an event built on passion, community, and a love for heavy, atmospheric sound.
Even during difficult periods, such as the pandemic, we stayed committed to the scene. When live shows weren’t possible, we recorded and filmed local bands in their rehearsal spaces, ensuring their music still reached people who needed it.
Since then, Nebular Festival has continued to grow, becoming a key annual gathering for fans who appreciate emotional soundscapes, crushing riffs, and the energy of underground music.
